Artist's Note
Adakite is a volcanic rock, formed when ocean crust sinks beneath a continent and melts. Emily formed this design as a delicately textured three-stone ring, with natural textures from found rocks and a careful alignment of stones.
The natural, brilliant-cut diamonds in the 'Aurora' Adakite are sourced from South Africa, where they are both mined and cut on the outskirts of Cape Town. They are always at least VS2 clarity and whiter than a colour I, combining together into bright flashes of light that complement the folds of rose gold.
Our Diamonds
Our Diamonds
The diamonds in this piece naturally formed approximately 1—3.5 billion years ago in the Earth's mantle. They rose to the surface over millions of years to be sourced from South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia, in compliance with the Kimberley Certification Process. All of our stones are responsibly sourced with strict human rights and environmental due diligence on trusted, reputable suppliers. They are set by hand in West Cornwall.
