Meynek

The 'Dew' Meynek is formed from 18ct yellow gold and is set with natural sapphires and diamonds in our West Cornwall studio.

+ Set with a total of ~0.85ct natural sapphires from Sri Lanka, likely formed over 150 million years ago.
+ Set with a total of ~0.07ct natural diamonds from southern Africa, likely formed over 1 billion years ago.
+ Solid, recycled 18ct yellow gold.
Artist's Note
'Meynek', is the Cornish term for 'full of stones' or 'rocky'. Capturing the eroded texture of stone, and set organically with diamonds and sapphires, the ring is an example of Emily's exploration of referencing natural phenomena in her work. Directly connected to her inspiration, and formed from natural permanent materials, the 'Dew' variant is set with a palette of natural diamonds and Montana sapphires.
Our Sapphires
The sapphires in this piece naturally formed approximately 150—300 million years ago. Each stone has a unique and unrepeatable colour palette, caused by trace elements surrounding the sapphire crystal as it was formed. As a result, each individual piece is unique, with subtle colour variation in the stones. All of our stones are responsibly sourced with strict human rights and environmental due diligence on trusted, reputable suppliers. They are set by hand in West Cornwall.
Our Diamonds
The diamonds in this piece naturally formed approximately 1—3.5 billion years ago in the Earth's mantle. They rose to the surface over millions of years to be sourced from South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia, in compliance with the Kimberley Certification Process. All of our stones are responsibly sourced with strict human rights and environmental due diligence on trusted, reputable suppliers. They are set by hand in West Cornwall.
