Nori

The 'Wild Water' Nori is formed from 18ct non-rhodiumised white gold and is set with natural sapphires and a natural diamond in our West Cornwall studio.

+ Set with a total of ~1.60ct natural sapphires from Montana and Sri Lanka, likely formed over 150 million years ago.
+ Set with a ~0.04ct natural diamond from southern Africa, likely formed over 1 billion years ago.
+ Solid, recycled 18ct non-rhodiumised white gold.
Artist's Note
Emily first experimented with drying seaweed and casting it into precious metals over a decade ago. The Nori emerged as one of the first refined interpretations of these often wild, bold experiments. Worked from the raw original cast, the shape formed into delicate curls of white gold that catch and embrace the natural sapphires. The 'Wild Water' Nori sets sapphires from Montana and Sri Lanka in warm, non-rhodiumised white gold, a palette of storm grey and steel blues, evoking the sea in rough weather.
Our Sapphires
The sapphires in this piece naturally formed approximately 150—300 million years ago. Each stone has a unique and unrepeatable colour palette, caused by trace elements surrounding the sapphire crystal as it was formed. As a result, each individual piece is unique, with subtle colour variation in the stones. All of our stones are responsibly sourced with strict human rights and environmental due diligence on trusted, reputable suppliers. They are set by hand in West Cornwall.
Our Diamonds
The diamonds in this piece naturally formed approximately 1—3.5 billion years ago in the Earth's mantle. They rose to the surface over millions of years to be sourced from South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia, in compliance with the Kimberley Certification Process. All of our stones are responsibly sourced with strict human rights and environmental due diligence on trusted, reputable suppliers. They are set by hand in West Cornwall.
